Pillar 01 — Valid8 Install
The physical delivery.
Installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of passive ICT and network infrastructure within data centres and large commercial facilities. Self-delivered by our own crews, to certified results, under activity code 4321.91.
Scope of work
Six groups, self-delivered
Fibre optic systems
Single-mode and multimode installation through containment, tray and basket, with pre-terminated trunks or field termination as the design requires — and polarity managed as a discipline, not an afterthought.
Copper structured cabling
Backbone and horizontal copper installed, dressed and terminated to permanent link or channel, with every route certified and the results handed over as data you can query.
Racks, cabinets and rack-and-stack
Cabinets set out, levelled, bonded and earthed; equipment racked, stacked and dressed; containment and cable management installed so the next trade — and the next audit — can work in it.
Patching and interconnect
Patching worked to schedule and recorded as it is made, so the as-built matches the floor. Cross-connect and meet-me room work handled with the same record discipline.
Testing, certification and commissioning
Tier 1 and Tier 2 optical testing and copper certification on every link, with results ingested to the record on capture rather than parked on a tester until close-out. Commissioning support through to in-service.
Maintenance, MACs and remediation
Fault finding driven by test data rather than by guesswork, remediation tracked to clearance, and the routine moves, adds and changes that keep a live facility honest after handover.
Method
How a package runs
The same sequence on every job, whether it is one deployment group or a whole phase. Nothing in it is unusual — except that stage four starts on day one instead of at the end.
Mobilise
Scope confirmed, method statement and risk assessment issued, crews inducted, kit calibrated, labelling and polarity conventions agreed in writing before a cable moves.
Install
Containment, cable, racks and terminations delivered to programme, worked by deployment group so progress is measured against a real unit rather than a percentage.
Test & certify
OTDR, OLTS and copper certification on every link. Results captured to the record on the day they are taken, with failures raised immediately rather than batched.
Prove & hand over
Faults ranked and cleared, evidence archived continuously, and the handover pack produced as a snapshot of a record that has been complete throughout.
Included as standard
What comes with every package, at no separate line item
These are not upsells. They are how we prefer to be measured, so we build them into the price and give you the login on the day we mobilise.
- A client login to the live record — the same burn-down our own supervisors work from, scoped to your project.
- Continuous evidence archive — scans filed to your document store by project, phase and deployment group as they are captured.
- Verified attendance — who was on site, on which shift, in which discipline, reconciled against what we invoice.
- Ranked fault clearance — faults deduplicated and ordered by what is actually blocking energisation.
- Handover snapshot — an immutable point-in-time record of the package at completion.
- Method statement and RAMS — issued before mobilisation, reviewed with your team, not retrofitted.
Health, safety & quality
A live floor is a shared floor.
Data centre construction runs multiple trades through the same white space under time pressure. We work to the principal contractor's permit and induction regime without negotiation, and we would rather stop a task than improvise around a control.
- Task-specific RAMS issued and accepted before mobilisation.
- Permit-to-work discipline, including hot works, working at height and live-adjacent activity.
- Toolbox talks recorded; competence and induction status tracked per person, per site.
- Calibrated test equipment only, with calibration certificates available on request.
- Attendance and discipline logged at the point of entry — the same record that supports the safety file.
- Quality gates at containment, termination and certification, evidenced in the record.
Next step
Send us a scope and a programme.
We will come back with a method statement, a resource plan, a price, and a live demonstration of the record you would be given on day one.
